Sheffield United plc chairman Kevin McCabe has revealed talks surrounding the future of under-fire manager Bryan Robson remain "ongoing".
Robson met with the Blades chief in Brussels on Wednesday with speculation suggesting he would be sacked just nine months after taking the reins at Bramall Lane.
Following a goalless draw with struggling Scunthorpe United last weekend, more than 1,000 unhappy fans called for Robson to be sacked with the Blades languishing in the bottom half of the Championship table.
However, McCabe has revealed no decision has yet been taken on the future of the Middlesbrough and West Brom boss.
"Talks are ongoing overnight, with (chairman) Terry Robinson, Bryan Robson and myself assessing the whole organisation of the football club," he told The Times.
"We want to get an overview and see whether there is a need for reorganisation.
"It's not my intention (to change managers), but that's just my view and we're midway through talks.
"But at the same time we're taking on board the disappointment we've all felt with how things have gone so far.
"I'm a supporter, so I understand how they feel. I bring my views as a supporter into this, but it is as a chairman as well that I must make a reasoned judgement."
