Published: 11 Feb 2009 - 11:57:00

Naughton, 20, made his second appearance for Stuart Pearce's Under-21s side when replacing Wigan's Lee Cattermole in the 76th minute during a 3-2 defeat to an Ecuador XI in Malaga. Middlesbrough's Adam Johnson and Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell had given Pearce's side a 2-0 lead but the South Americans hit back with three second-half goals. The Under-19s were comprehensively beaten by Spain 3-0 at Bournemouth's Dean Court stadium, where Walker stepped off the substitutes' bench with 20 minutes to go to make his first appearance for Brian Eastick's side.
