Matthew Spring is desperate to leave Luton Town and hopes his season-long loan move to Sheffield United will eventually be made permanent.
The 28-year-old midfielder has made three appearances for the Blades since arriving at Bramall Lane at the end of July, although his only two starts have come in the Carling Cup.
"I got the opportunity to come to Sheffield from Luton and I couldn't turn the chance down," Spring told Sky Sports. "Hopefully at the end of it there will be something here for me.
"I'd say my future lies away from Luton, but you never say never. I think that my time there is over and hopefully something will happen at either Sheffield United or somewhere else.
"I need to be playing week in week out and I just need to wait for my opportunity and then it's down to me to do well and keep my place in the team."
