Blades snub loan approaches

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has revealed that he turned down the chance to make several signings on loan deadline day.
Blackwell says he was offered the services of a number of players, but decided to place his faith in the existing Bramall Lane squad.
Blackwell told The Star: "There was loads of interest. Lots of players wanted to come here, but I couldn't guarantee any of them a start.
"There were one or two from the Premier League and three of four from the Championship, good ones too.
"But the players already here are doing a job and should be complimented on that fact.
"It would be stupid to disrupt the team spirit we have here now for the sake of six or seven games."
