Blades secure Martin deal

Manchester United winger Lee Martin has joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old wideman has already spent two months on loan in the Championship this season with Plymouth Argyle.

He scored two goals in 12 appearances before returning to Old Trafford on January 1.

"I spoke to Sir Alex (Ferguson) on Wednesday and he told me of the interest," Martin told the club's official website.

"There were a few other clubs interested, but it is good to know a big club like Sheffield United is interested in me.

"Plymouth wanted to extend my stay, but the decision was made by myself and Sir Alex.

"I will work hard, but hopefully I can bring a bit of flair, pace and energy."
