Blades ponder Darius appeal

Sheffield United assistant manager Sam Ellis refused to criticise referee Andre Marriner after he sent off Darius Henderson in the Blades' 1-1 draw at Swansea City.

Striker Henderson was red-carded early on in the second half at the Liberty Stadium for catching City's Angel Rangel with a stray elbow, and Ellis felt the decision was harsh.

He told the club's official website: "We are disappointed that the referee saw the decisions the way that he did, but officials have a horribly difficult job and we are not in the game of queuing up to slag them off.

"We've yet to view the video. We'll decide what to do when we have. We're not going to have a go at the ref, he sees something and he gives it. We'll have to have a look at it first."
