Blades no to Thompson

Sheffield United have decided against offering a contract to trialist midfielder David Thompson.
The well-travelled former Liverpool trainee had been on trial at Bramall Lane for two weeks.
However, Blades boss Bryan Robson has decided against offering the 30-year-old midfielder a permanent contract.
Thompson has been on the lookout for a new club after being released by Bolton Wanderers in the summer.
"David Thompson will not be joining us," Robson told the Sheffield Star.
"With the knee injury that he's had, it's going to take a bit of time to get him 100 per cent match fit. I can't really wait that time.
"With Lee Hendrie coming back, Chris Armstrong doing so well - Michael Tonge and Alan Quinn too - they're all fit now.
"Rather than concentrating always on trying to bring people in, you have got to get the best out of what's in the club.
"From now until January I've got to concentrate on getting the best out of the players I've got."
