Blades make triple swoop
31 Jul 2008 - 16:48:26
Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has snapped up three players as he looks to end the Blades' two-season exile in the Championship.
Wigan Athletic midfielder David Cotterill, Luton Town's Matthew Spring and Maltese goalkeeper Justin Haber have all penned contracts with the club.
Cotterill, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bramall Lane last term, has agreed a three-year deal with United while Haber has penned a two-year contract.
"Bringing David here is something we've been trying to conclude since the end of last season," Blackwell told United's official website.
"He's only 20 and a full international. He's shown glimpses of the real potential that enabled Bristol City to sell him for £2million.
"David had set his heart on a move here, is prepared to look for a house in the area and we're showing the same commitment to bring him in."
Meanwhile, Spring arrives at the club on a one-year loan arrangement.
