Blades keen on Prem loans

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has revealed he hopes to sign players from the Premier League when the loan window reopens next week. Blackwell is keen to bolster his squad following the £3million sale of midfielder Michael Tonge to Stoke City late on transfer deadline day. Former Blades midfielder Michael Brown has been linked with a return to Bramall Lane from current club Wigan Athletic. "I'm looking at bringing someone in from the Premier League," Blackwell told the Sheffield Star. "That's the quality we're looking at. We'd certainly like to get one player by the time our next game comes around, but if we can get two then it's something we'd certainly be interested in doing. "We'll have to see what happens, but we know the positions where we want to strengthen. "What I'm looking at is getting someone here until December. That's the period I'd like to get someone for."
