Blades duo leave on loan

Sheffield United have allowed Neil Shipperley and Alan Wright to leave the club on loan to join Hull City and Cardiff City respectively.

The duo have both been told that they can leave the Blades, along with defensive duo David Unsworth and Chris Lucketti.

However, Unsworth is determined to stay and fight for his place, as he told the Sheffield Star: "I still want to play because I enjoy being a part of things here.

"If I did have to leave, I can honestly say it would be reluctantly because we've got a smashing bunch of lads."

Meanwhile, Shipperley links up with the Tigers to try and help them avoid relegation from the Championship.

He has been at Bramall Lane since the summer of 2005, but has not featured for the Premiership newcomers at all this season.

Veteran left-back Wright joined United in January 2004 from Middlesbrough and has already been loaned out to Derby County and Leeds United during his time at Bramall Lane.
