Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has strengthened his defensive options by snapping up Arsenal teenager Kyle Bartley on a three-month loan arrangement.
The 18-year-old central defender moved to the Emirates Stadium from Bolton Wanderers in 2007 and was part of the young Gunners squad that lifted last term's FA Youth Cup.
The Blades lost the services of Kyle Walker and Matt Kilgallon last month, while Chris Morgan is sidelined for a month with a muscle injury.
Blackwell told United's official website: "I'm delighted to have got him.
"He's got the right calibre even though making his league debut with a new club at such a young age will be a big challenge for him."
