Blades' Armstrong agony

Sheffield United defender Chris Armstrong could be sidelined until the busy festive programme after having surgery on his troublesome knee injury.
The 24-year-old missed Saturday's victory at Newcastle United, the first match he has been forced to miss this term, because of the problem.
"Chris had a scan on Tuesday night and the surgeon decided to operate straight away, although the extent of the damage won't be apparent until he takes a proper look inside the joint," Blades boss Neil Warnock told the club's official website.
"There remains the possibility that, if it's just a piece of floating bone, Chris could be out for only three weeks. If it turns out to be a cartilage problem, it will take six.
"It's unfortunate for Chris and us, as it is for Michael Tonge who is out of action with damaged ankle ligaments at the same time, but I'm confident that both will be back as quickly as possible challenging for places again."
