Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell will hold talks about his future with Blades chairman Kevin McCabe at the end of the season.
The former Leeds United and Luton Town boss replaced Bryan Robson in February and has guided the team away from relegation danger and into mid-table security.
McCabe said: "What with my own movements and the hectic schedule of games over the last few weeks, there's been precious little time to look at the overall position.
"What Kevin needs to do is sit down with me to talk about our strategies.
"We still have a great desire at Sheffield United to be successful and get back into the Premier League, but we've not yet had time to look at long-term planning."
