Blackwell hits out at transfer window

The Blades lost midfielder Michael Tonge to Stoke on transfer deadline day last summer and reports suggest Newcastle are ready to make a bid for defender Matthew Kilgallon with the end to the current window looming. "I'm not a big fan to be honest and, like most of us, I'll be glad when the latest one is closed," Blackwell told the Sheffield Star. "Both in terms of out-goings and people who might be coming in. Sometimes they leave you with absolutely nowhere to go. "Last summer when, after thinking everything was sorted, we got a call right at the last minute from Stoke about Michael Tonge. "I was sat in my office at one in the morning sorting something out that, in all honesty, I didn't really want to happen in the first place."
