Blackwell agrees Blades deal

Sheffield United have confirmed the full-time appointment of Kevin Blackwell after agreeing a three-year contract with the Blades boss.

Blackwell was handed a short-term contract until the end of the season when he took over from former manager Bryan Robson in February, but has now agreed a deal running until the summer of 2011.

The former Leeds United and Luton Town boss, plus Blades number two, has led the Bramall Lane club from the bottom half of the table to the fringes of the play-off places.
