Former Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers and Everton striker Marcus Bent has left Birmingham City to join Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan yesterday. marcus bent celebrates scoring for sheffield united during the 1999/00 season.Bent can latterly be tagged as having 'more clubs than Tiger Woods (golfer)' after the professional footballer moved from St. Andrews in Birmingham to Molineux in Wolverhampton on loan in a four month deal.He was signed by the Blades from then manager Adrian Heath in October 1999 in a £300,000 transfer from Port Vale and made his debut days later in a 1-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town.Later that season (under Neil Warnock) the club netted six past West Bromwich Albion without reply and Bent notching three in a deserved hat-trick.The following season he netted a hat-trick again in the League Cup at home to Lincoln City (won 6-1) but sparked interest from elsewhere allowed the player to move on. He joined Blackburn Rovers in November 2000 in a £2,100,000 transfer having made just 56 (+0) appearances with the Blades and scored 24 goals.His list of clubs include; Brentford, Crystal Palace, Port Vale, Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Everton, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City, Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and now Wolverhampton Wanderers making 420 (+138) appearances and scoring 110 goals in all professional games.
