Wood set for Wednesday return
Laws labelled his side's display in Friday night's 4-1 defeat at Watford as "a shambles" and promised to make changes as successive league defeats saw the Owls slip to 17th place in the table.
But Laws has refused to lay the blame solely on his defenders and said: "It's not just about the back four, you defend from the front and players have to take responsibility."
Wood has missed the last three matches due to an ankle problem while fellow central defender Richard Hinds, who has made only two league appearances this season, is another player who could win a first-team recall in the Championship clash against Bristol City at Ashton Gate as Laws looks to halt the slide.
