Experience key as SWWFC bid for a promotion push Sheffield Wednesday WFC are delighted to announce the appointment of our first team manager for the forthcoming 2010/2011 season. We have appointed Adam Smallman as SWWFC’s new Manager.  Adam has an extensive footballing CV, which spans over the last 14 years; he has a wide range of coaching certification as well as being an FA registered coach and Scout. Based in Staffordshire, he has largely worked with Midland based teams, but has a great knowledge of all top league teams. He has been an assistant manager at a men’s Semi pro side, Hednesford Town, who play in the Unibond league. He has scouted for 4 current men’s football league sides as well as managing a Walsall LFC in the midlands. SWWFC chairman Jeff Maslin commented “we have been extremely fortunate that Adam has decided to join us. Adam went through an extensive interview process that he passed with flying colours. Due to the instability of last season we had to appoint someone who is in this for the long run and push us towards our ultimate goal of an immediate return to the Northern Premiership. He has already spoken to all our current squad to discuss next season as well as putting together a super pre-season timetable. We believe we have appointed the right person to do this job and welcome him into the Owls nest” Smallman said "To be appointed 1st team manager at a club like Sheffield Wednesday`s is a very proud moment for me and I cannot wait to get started, Jeff (Maslin) and Dan (Duke) sold the club to me when we met and I hope to return the good days back to the club as soon as possible."  Sheffield Wednesday Women are inviting trial applications (16+ years old) via their club website, for more information visit www.swwfc.net
