Grant, who is currently on a run of 84 consecutive appearances for the Owls, has been rewarded for his fine form this season with a new contract that will keep him at Hillsborough until 2012 - and has the option of an extra year. Delighted boss Brian Laws said: "I firmly believe that Lee is one of the best English goalkeepers around at the moment and I don't think there is a better goalkeeper in the Championship at present. "The fact that a player of Lee's calibre has committed to Sheffield Wednesday for the long term is a clear sign that we are building a competitive squad for the future of this club." England Under-21 international Grant added: "It was an easy decision for me to commit my long-term future to Sheffield Wednesday. There is a real feeling of togetherness running through the club at the moment and there is a good chance that we can achieve success in the coming years."
