Wednesday hit by Gray injury blow
The 34-year-old picked up the injury in the 2-2 draw with Watford on March 14 and his since had exploratory operation to repair a torn muscle.
First team physio Mark Palmer told the club's official website: "The operation showed that Michael had torn a small muscle in his right shoulder known as the rotator cuff.
"That was repaired during the operation, it is a straightforward surgery and recovery time will probably be in the region of three to four months."
