Wednesday chiefs hail fans' forum

Owls chairman Strafford declared the meeting to be the first of many after he and Laws fielded questions from 300 Owls fans who attended a heavily over-subscribed gathering. Strafford said: "It's great to see Sheffield Wednesday fans clamouring to engage with their club. Demand is what we want to see. We want to see people wanting to be part of the club and wanting to ask questions and feel involved. "You can't hope to engage people if you are not welcoming. I'm a big believer in transparency and inclusion. Some businesses put time and effort into hiding things, but that is a complete waste of energy. It's better to invest and empower people through things like the fans' forum and the passion was there for everyone to see." Laws added: "It was a massive success and a very important night for this football club. We have mentioned from the very start about giving the supporters their football club back and that's what forums are all about. "We will answer questions the best way we can that are pertinent to this football club because we are all in this together, we all want the same success. We will work hand in hand with the fans because you can't have one without the other."
