Varney tips Owls to bounce back

The Owls produced some of their best football of the season in the first half against Preston in midweek, creating countless chances and hitting the woodwork three times, but ended up empty-handed as Preston clinched a 2-1 win. Varney told the club's official website: "The good thing is we have another game so quick and it's a great chance to bounce back. "Watford are a strong outfit and they are at home, but the gaffer [Brian Laws] will pick us up. "It's all about results and we didn't get a result on Tuesday so that will make us all the more eager to get three points on Friday. "The first-half performance was the best we've played since I've been here, for sure."
