TV chiefs apologise to cup pair

ITV West Country have issued an apology to both Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday for the camerawork at Saturday's FA Cup third-round match. Wednesday triumphed 3-0 at Ashton Gate but the televised match highlights failed to capture Neil Mellor's goal and the cross for Gary Teale's opener was also missing. An ITV West Country spokesman said: "We have spoken to the camera operator involved in filming the match on Saturday and he admits that he temporarily lost concentration. "He deeply regrets that he missed Sheffield Wednesday's second goal and is especially disappointed because it's the first goal he has ever missed. "We apologise to both clubs for the inconvenience caused."
