The player of the year was withdrawn from Saturday's home win over Cardiff as a precaution due to a neck problem sustained last week in training but is likely to start alongside on-loan Derby forward Luke Varney at Selhurst Park. Laws is expected to opt for Etienne Esajas on the right wing in place of Jermaine Johnson after his goal and two assists against Cardiff. Leon Clarke is pushing for a recall after replacing Tudgay on Saturday and going on to score late on but should start alongside Akpo Sodje on the substitutes' bench. Laws' side clinched their first league win in four games against Cardiff and are chasing a third home win of the season.
