Tudgay desperate for derby performance

Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay believes Sunday's Steel City derby could bring out the best of Alan Irvine's relegation battlers. The Owls slid into the bottom three last weekend after losing at Middlesbrough and can ill-afford any more defeats in their remaining three games if they are to escape the drop into League One. Tudgay told the club's official website: "The fans have been frustrated as have the players. We've been doing well in games, but we have a little blip and concede, but this will be an excellent time to put that right if we can get the goals and win against Sheffield United. "Where we've maybe snatched at chances in recent games, we could find that the extra bit of focus that comes with a derby game that will see the ball fly into the back of the net. "We all know we can score goals and are a good team that work well together, so we'll go out there and give 100%. "We know what we have to do, everyone knows it's a big game. It will be a full house and we'll have to turn up fighting for it and wanting it."
