Substance above style for meantime - Purse

Sheffield Wednesday skipper Darren Purse has promised Owls fans that "flowing football" will soon return to Hillsborough. Wednesday have responded after four straight league defeats last month by taking 10 points from the previous 12 available, and Purse makes no apologies for the manner of those victories which have lifted the Owls back up to fifth place. The defender told the club's official website: "A lot's been said about how we're grinding out results rather than playing some great football, but after you've lost four on the spin that's how you get back to winning ways. "You grind results out and the lads have done that really well in recent weeks. We need to keep doing that and the more we win the more confident we'll get and the flowing football we were playing in August will come back." Purse added: "I said at the beginning of the season that I want automatic promotion. That's where I've set my targets and hopefully the other lads have set the same."
