Wednesday, who will have The Children's Hospital logo emblazoned on their playing strip for the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, are the first club in the Championship to donate their shirt sponsorship to charity at a reported cost to the Owls of £500,000 however the move has raised some eyebrows as the club are £25million in debt.[LNB]Strafford said: "While a monetary value can be attached to the sponsorship of Sheffield Wednesday's playing strip we believe that increasing the awareness of The Children's Hospital's outstanding work brings far more value to our community.[LNB]"I also believe that this partnership is something our fans will connect with because so many people across our region and across the country have loved ones who have benefited from spending time at the Children's Hospital.[LNB]"This decision was not about money. We are committed to serving our community and by entering into this partnership we believe there is much greater value attributed to a kit sponsorship than by selling it to a big business."[LNB]Strafford added: "As a club we have also produced a business plan which will open up new revenue streams in the short, medium and long term, which means we do not have to rely on shirt sponsorship as a major source of income."[LNB][LNB]
