Soares hoping to stick with Owls

25 January 2010 15:22
Soares played the last game of his loan spell in the weekend win over Peterborough, but has not ruled out a return to Hillsborough. [LNB]He has made eight appearances since arriving under previous manager Brian Laws and scored his only goal in the recent win at Blackpool.[LNB]Soares said: "Every player wants to play football. I've got no doubt in my ability and coming here and playing for Wednesday is good for me.[LNB]"As a club, we're all starting to perform and hopefully we can climb that league table. Obviously if I go back to Stoke and I'm not playing I'd definitely like to come back.[LNB]"We'll have to sit down and have a word with (Stoke boss) Tony Pulis and see what happens from there, but I'm hopeful I can extend my stay here."[LNB]Soares added: "We've won three on the bounce and everyone is buzzing. Hopefully we can keep putting in the performances for the gaffer because he's been brilliant since he came in."[LNB][LNB] Scunthorpe v Sheff. Wed. Click here to bet.
