Smith 'honoured' to be awarded MBE
Smith has worked with the England squad for eight years as well as spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham.
He also runs his own practice in South Yorkshire and his services to physiotherapy have now received recognition from the Queen.
"It's a great honour to receive this invitation from the Queen and I am really looking forward to going down to Buckingham Palace with my wife," Smith told the club's official website.
"To be recognised by the Queen is not something that happens every day and I intend to enjoy every minute of the time we are at the palace. It is a personal honour for me and reflects well on Sheffield Wednesday too."
