Simek: Toon win would lift Owls
Wednesday have slipped into the bottom three after losing their last five league matches and have not collected three points from a match since a 2-0 win over Coventry in October, 11 games ago.[LNB]Simek told the club's official website: "The fact that it's going to be live on Sky and against Newcastle, it will make for a good atmosphere. Hopefully that might suit us, we do need a lift.[LNB]"We need something to turn for us and it would be a great result to get something from this game. It's a big game for Newcastle as well. They're top of the league and will want to press on, but I think if we go out there and get the first goal that could prove very important.[LNB]"We're in the relegation places right now and there's only one way up and hopefully we can start climbing on Boxing Day.
