Sheffield Wednesday's Sunday showdown tickets selling like hotcakes

Owl's fans set to give team maximum support Last night’s 1-1 draw between Crystal Palace and WBA means that this Sunday’s match between Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace at Hillsborough will be a showdown for Championship survival and Owls fans have been quick to show their support. Since almost immediately after the final whistle at Selhurst Park the SWFC ticket website and phone lines have been jammed by fans trying to book their tickets and queues at the ticket office at the ground have stretched into the car park. As things stand there are very few tickets remaining and the match could well sell out this evening. Despite a season that has been a season packed with far too many under-par performances the club has continued to receive loyal backing home and away with the travelling support figures better than the vast majority of teams in the division. With a packed crowd backing them this Sunday the players owe it to themselves and the supporters to produce a display worthy of this backing as they attempt to pick up the three points that would see them achieve safety at the expense of their opponents.
