Semedo boost for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo will return to contention for the home game against Wolves following suspension.

Semedo missed last week's win at Blackburn after reaching five yellow cards for the season and boss Stuart Gray must decide whether to recall the Portuguese to his starting line-up or retain Kieran Lee.

On-loan Lewis McGugan has overcome a head injury and is expected to resume in midfield, while Gray has no new injury or suspension issues as the Owls chase a third straight win.

Striker Caolan Lavery, who has stepped off the bench in the last two matches, is pushing for his first start of the season following a long-term knee injury.

Defender Matt Doherty is suspended for Wolves' trip to Hillsborough after failing to get his red card against Bournemouth overturned on appeal and starts a three-game ban.

Forward Rajiv van La Parra is available, though, following Wolves' successful appeal against his own dismissal against the Cherries.

Nouha Dicko is improving after his hamstring problems but is still sidelined along with Ethan Ebanks-Landell (hamstring), although they are both due to return to training on Monday.

Scott Golbourne (foot) is also out for Kenny Jackett's side, who have lost their last five games.
