Hutchinson struggling for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson is struggling to shake off injury in time to face Watford.

Hutchinson, on loan from Chelsea, was forced out of the action due to a knee problem during the midweek win against Brighton and remains doubtful, but boss Stuart Gray has no new injury or suspension worries.

Defender Oguchi Onyewu overcame a virus to play the full 90 minutes on Tuesday night and striker Caolan Lavery is expected to recover from a hamstring strain that kept him out.

The Owls, up to 13th in the table, are bidding for a fourth win in their last five league matches.

Albert Riera is in line to make his Watford debut.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool winger joined the Hornets on a deal until the end of the season on Thursday and could be thrust straight into the starting line-up.

Fernando Forestieri has missed the last three games with a toe injury and is a doubt once more, while Chu-Young Park (thigh) and Fitz Hall (Achilles) are also expected to miss out.

Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Blackburn extended Watford's unbeaten home run to six games but time is running out for them to force their way into the play-off places.
