Sheff Wed v Preston

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal could name an unchanged starting line-up for the visit of Preston.

Carvalhal has no new injury or suspension worries following last week's win at Wolves, while goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith is available again following surgery on a finger.

Gary Hooper remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury, so Lucas Joao and Steven Fletcher are vying for a place up front, with the former hoping to retain his starting place.

Defenders Daniel Pudil and Liam Palmer are also among those pushing for recalls.

Preston will have Jermaine Beckford available in Yorkshire, although Simon Grayson remains without Paul Gallagher and John Welsh.

A thigh injury has kept Beckford out since the international break, while Gallagher and Welsh have been restricted to the sidelines because of calf problems.

Stevie May is edging ever closer to a comeback after over a year out with a knee injury and Grayson will ease him back into his squad slowly.

Full-back Calum Woods (knee) is a long-term absentee for North End.
