Buxton blow for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday caretaker-manager Stuart Gray will be without defender Lewis Buxton (groin) in his first game in charge against Leicester.

Wednesday, who sacked Dave Jones on Sunday, have no other new injury or suspension problems as they chase only their second league win of the season.

On-loan striker Matty Fryatt has returned to parent club Hull, so Gray must decide who to play up front alongside Connor Wickham, with Jermaine Johnson and Atdhe Nuhiu among those in contention.

Winger Michail Antonio is hoping to return to the squad after being left out on Saturday, while the Owls are bidding to avoid a fourth straight league defeat against Sky Bet Championship leaders Leicester.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson will have an unchanged squad to choose from.

Centre-half Sean St. Ledger (groin) and young striker Tom Hopper (shin) are the only absentees for Pearson, whose side went top of the table on Saturday following their 3-0 home win over Millwall.

On-loan Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel, central midfielder Matty James and winger Anthony Knockaert all returned to the starting line up against the Lions, and the manager has plenty of options should he opt to make changes again.

Defender Liam Moore, midfielders Dean Hammond and Andy King and strikers Jeff Schlupp, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Chris Wood are all vying for recalls.
