Lavery in Owls frame

Sheffield Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery could be included in the matchday squad when the Owls take on Leeds.

Lavery was recalled from his loan spell at Plymouth in midweek and he could be named in caretaker boss Stuart Gray's squad as Wednesday bid to extend their unbeaten league run to four matches.

On-loan striker Connor Wickham is likely to return after being refused permission to play in last week's FA Cup draw at Macclesfield.

But winger Michail Antonio, midfielder Giles Coke (hamstring) plus defenders Lewis Buxton (groin), Kamil Zayatte, Martin Taylor (both ankle) and Anthony Gardner (Achilles) are all ruled out.

Leeds' new signings Cameron Stewart and Jimmy Kebe could both make their debuts.

Stewart arrived at Elland Road, initially on loan, from Hull on Thursday while fellow winger Kebe completed his loan move until the end of the season from Crystal Palace on Friday. Both are expected to be included in boss Brian McDermott's squad.

Teenage midfielder Alex Mowatt, who recently required an injection in his back, missed last week's FA Cup defeat at Rochdale and could be back in the squad.

Another teenager, winger Gboly Ariyibi, midfielders Michael Brown and Michael Tonge and defender Tom Lees are all in contention.
