Duo set for Owls return Sheffield Wednesday could be boosted by the return of defensive duo Reda Johnson and Anthony Gardner when they host Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield. Both players returned to training this week and could be in contention for a starting place as the Owls bid to avoid a third successive defeat. Striker Gary Madine is pushing for a recall to the starting XI having made way for Jay Bothroyd during last Friday's defeat at Brighton. Madine is likely to partner the on-loan QPR striker with Rodri dropping to the bench. Fellow loanee Ross Barkley is also expected to be handed his full debut in midfield on his first appearance at Hillsborough. Injured duo Lewis Buxton (hamstring) and Chris Lines (groin) are still out.MWard boost for Terriers Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson expects Danny Ward to be fit, but Adam Hammill is a doubt. Ward, who scored the only goal of the game in Saturday's win over Derby, was withdrawn in the second half after picking up a knock but has recovered in time to face the Owls. On-loan Wolves midfielder Hammill also limped off in the final minutes of that match and faces a late fitness test. Lee Novak and Sean Scannell replaced the pair respectively and may deputise again if called upon. But Grayson is hoping to name the same starting XI that edged past the Rams to extend their unbeaten run to four matches. The Terriers have moved within a point of the play-off places and could record back-to-back victories for the first time this season at Hillsborough.
