Fry up for Owls

Striker Matty Fryatt should go straight into the Sheffield Wednesday squad for Saturday's home game against Doncaster after joining on loan from Hull.

Defender Lewis Buxton (knee) and striker Chris Maguire (toe) both hope to be fit.

Midfielder Stephen McPhail and on-loan Wolves defender Roger Johnson are expected to make their home debuts after making their first appearances for the club in last week's defeat at Birmingham.

Skipper Anthony Gardner remains a long-term absentee due to an Achilles injury as Wednesday chase their first league win of the season.

Doncaster will check on Reece Wabara.

Wabara limped off during the closing stages of the 2-2 home draw with Nottingham Forest last Saturday and later that evening put pictures of a badly swollen big toe on his Twitter account. Paul Quinn, who has made just one start for Rovers this season, is on standby to fill in for the on loan Manchester City right-back.

Harry Forrester has suffered an injury setback and could be out for another six weeks. The midfielder has been blighted by an ankle injury since joining Paul Dickov's side from Brentford in the summer and now he has suffered a tear to his quad.

Meanwhile, Marc de Val Fernandez has stepped up his recovery from a knee ligament injury but he is yet to return to full training.
