Coke back in Owls squad

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke is hoping to return to contention for the home game against Bournemouth.

Coke has missed the last three games, plus the Owls' abandoned league clash with Wigan in midweek, due to a hamstring injury but has returned to training and could be included in the squad.

Caretaker boss Stuart Gray is still without winger Michail Antonio (knee) and Joe Mattock (thigh), however, while fellow defender Lewis Buxton is still struggling with a hamstring injury.

Gray will be taking charge of his fifth game as Wednesday bid for a third win in their last four league fixtures.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe could include Josh McQuoid in his thinking for the trip after the Northern Ireland international returned to full fitness.

But the Hillsborough trip comes too soon for centre-back Elliott Ward who is targeting a return during the festive fixtures having suffered a minor tear to his calf muscle.

Winger Mohamed Coulibaly is back in training after Achilles and calf problems but he is also aiming to return between Christmas and new year.

One player who will not feature is long-serving goalkeeper Shwan Jalal who has been told he can leave Dean Court after five years with the Cherries.
