Rams and Owls hold Varney talks
The former Crewe forward will be suspended for Derby's FA Cup third round tie at Millwall on Saturday after picking up five cautions whilst on loan with Sheffield Wednesday.[LNB]Varney joined the Rams just over a year ago but joined the Owls on loan for the latter part of last season and then returned to Hillsborough in August.[LNB]And Clough believes the striker, who has made just 14 appearances for the Rams, could be destined for another return to Wednesday.[LNB]"Luke's loan is up and he is back with us at the moment, although he is suspended for Saturday," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"We are still in discussions with Sheffield Wednesday about what they want to do with Luke in terms of extending the loan or a permanent deal, so at the moment it is a case of seeing what comes up in the next few weeks."[LNB][LNB]
