Purse: We're there to be shot at

The Owls have been punished for individual errors this season and Purse, drafted in from Cardiff to stiffen up Wednesday's back four during the summer, has held himself responsible for several lapses that have cost Brian Laws' side goals in recent matches. Purse told the club's official website: "We took criticism and if you don't take the criticism the right way, you shouldn't be in football. "You're there to be shot at and when you do make mistakes, they're out there, they're in the papers and the fans have their say. "That's something you have to live with and you have to take that criticism on the chin. "The bottom line is that silly little mistakes through the early part of the season have cost us goals. I'm probably the biggest culprit and when you make a mistake you get hammered for it, that's the way football is."
