Purse sits out for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday will be without suspended skipper Darren Purse at Charlton. Purse received his fifth booking of the season in last week's 1-1 home draw with Bournemouth and sits out a one-game ban. Jon Otsemobor will serve the second game of his three-match ban, so Richard Hinds is expected to step up and partner Mark Beevers in central defence for his first league start of the season while Tommy Spurr provides manager Alan Irvine with another option. Winger Jermaine Johnson was scheduled to resume training later this week and could return to the squad after missing last week's match due to a trip to America for personal reasons. The Owls, in fourth place, are chasing their fourth away win in the league this season in their bid to climb second in the table.
