Purse back for Owls

Defender Darren Purse is set to make a timely return to the Sheffield Wednesday starting line-up for the visit to Hartlepool. Purse missed Tuesday night's 4-2 Carling Cup defeat to Scunthorpe with a calf injury but is likely to take the place of the suspended Richard Hinds. Hinds saw red against Scunthorpe and will serve a one-match ban this weekend. Midfielder Tommy Miller is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after coming on to play the final half hour against Scunthorpe following a hamstring strain. Clinton Morrison played the full game against Scunthorpe after missing the 1-0 win over Brighton last weekend due to a groin problem and should keep his place. Owls manager Alan Irvine will again be without Jermaine Johnson as the winger continues his rehabilitation after damaging knee ligaments.
