Sodje has been blighted by ankle, knee and hamstring problems during the last two seasons but is now injury-free as he looks ahead to the opening-day derby clash against the Tykes, who signed Onome Sodje, 20, from York last week. He told the club's official website: "I'm fully fit and ready to go for pre-season. I'm really looking forward to the new season because I'm confident my fitness is much better now. "I've been to see one of the best doctors for hamstring problems and he's given me a few injections and found the problem. I had a couple of games when I was away and I haven't had any problems since so I'm ready to go for pre-season." Sodje added: "It excites me because I can remember the last time I played against Barnsley and I scored the winning goal. "And there's more to look forward to for me as my nephew, Onome, has just signed for Barnsley, so hopefully we'll start the season by beating them."
