Owls step up search for new head coach

Wednesday women advertise for new boss Sheffield Wednesday Women are looking at appointing a new manager/head coach for the upcoming 2010/11 season. Due to work commitments abroad present manager Liam Kelly has had to step down from the position. Chairman Jeff Maslin commented, “To lose Liam is a bitter blow as he has worked very hard with the girls over the last 4 months. He has done a wonderful job and we really did not want to see him go. The opportunity that presented itself to him though was such a one off he was absolutely right in taking it. I would like to place on record on behalf of SWWFC our thanks to Liam and wish him every success in the future, and hope to see him at some games next season". To apply for this position applicants must have, at least a Level 1 coaching badge. It would be preferred that the successful person have some insight into womens football. The successful coach will have the support of a great backroom staff and committee. Daniel Duke said “After the disappointment of relegation last season we are looking at coming straight back up. We have retained the services of most of the ladies and we are looking at adding to this core. The person we are looking for must have the same drive, ambition and determination as we do in looking for immediate promotion. They will get as much help as they require to do the job in hand."
