Owls start and finish at home again

October and February dates for Steel City clashes The 2011/12 Football League fixtures have been released today and Sheffield Wednesday will once again start and finish their league campaign on home soil. Rochdale will be the first visitors to Hillsborough on Saturday 6th August and the season will finish with newly promoted Wycombe Wanderers coming to S6. The Owls first away game of the season is a trip to Bournemouth and Wednesday will be away on Boxing Day when they travel to Walsall. The return on the Sheffield derby sees the Owls travel to the Blades first for the Bramall Lane clash on October 15th with the reverse fixture at Hillsborough on February 25th. Former Wednesday legend John Sheridan’s newly promoted Chesterfield team will travel to face the Owls on October 8th and they will play hosts to the Owls on February 18th.
