Owls squad return to training

Manager Brian Laws ordered the players to stay away on Sunday and Monday due to a viral infection that had swept through the club.[LNB]A club spokesman confirmed the bug had definitely not been swine flu.[LNB]He said: "It's a viral infection. The players stayed away from training on Sunday and Monday as a precaution.[LNB]"The guys who have had the infection have been resting and recuperating. Players who get any of the symptoms will be asked to report to the doctor as soon as possible."[LNB]Skipper Darren Purse, Mark Beevers, Sean McAllister, Akpo Sodje and Etienne Esajas all missed Saturday's draw at Bristol City due to illness, while Tommy Miller, replaced in the 65th minute, and unused substitute Francis Jeffers were also affected. Both James O'Connor and Darren Potter had only just recovered.[LNB][LNB]
