Sheffield Wednesday’s shortest trip of the season has been put back by a couple of hours so that it can be shown of live TV. The Owls travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley on Saturday 15th December but instead of the originally scheduled kick-off time of 3pm the match will now be shown live on Sky Sports at 5.20pm.
Wednesday previously travelled to Barnsley for an early evening kick-off back in December 2001 which resulted in a miserable 3-0 defeat.
The Owls faired much better on their last visit to Oakwell in January 2010 when Alan Irvine’s first game in charge resulted in a 2-1 away win.
