Owls have hope in US investors

Parker and chairman Lee Strafford were appointed to the board of directors five months ago to oversee a possible deal and although a self-imposed deadline of March 31 passed without success, the duo remain optimistic the club has a bright future. Parker, in the USA last week to meet potential investors, told the club's official website: "There are a large number of potential investors in America and they have heard what is going on here at Sheffield Wednesday. "They asked us to go out and talk to them and explain the process we are going through and how they might become involved. "There are a lot of wealthy people and funds in America. They are very interested in football and the growing involvement of this sport in the US, but I have to add this is not the only area attracting interest from potential investors. "I'm on record as saying there are parties from three continents interested and that is still true, so we continue to look all over the world as further leads come from other leads we have had in the past and if further investment comes in, it will accelerate the business plan."
