Owls handed home opportunity in F.A. Cup

Lower league opposition for Wednesday in round 4 Sheffield Wednesday progressed to the 4th round of the F.A. Cup for the first time in 10 years on Saturday thanks to a stunning 3-0 victory at Championship side Bristol City and they have today been rewarded with a home tie. No disrespect to Wycombe or Hereford but the Owls will feel that a home tie against either of the League Two sides represents a good opportunity to reach the last sixteen of the competition. Hereford had to play their delayed 2nd round match at the weekend and having seen off the challenge of Lincoln they now travel to Adams Park on Tuesday evening for the right to face the Owls. With the 4th round ties set to take place on the weekend commencing Saturday 29th January the Owls will have to rearrange their home League One fixture against Tranmere Rovers, which was scheduled to take place that day.
